To improve emergency preparedness and community readiness, earthquake drills are essential. They help individuals learn self-defense techniques and what to do in the event of an earthquake. Conducting exercises on a regular basis helps improve response times and increase knowledge of evacuation procedures. Locals can learn emergency response tactics through drills and other community-based training initiatives. These activities assess community readiness and enhance instruction. In the event of a disaster, like a large earthquake, evacuation and emergency communication are crucial for the protection of people and property.
In accordance with a Commission on Higher Education memorandum, the university took part in the nationwide simultaneous earthquake drill on March 9, 2023.
