NwSSU Singers, Rondalla relish Calbayog Pride in ASEANWave Festival

As part of the celebration of the ASEAN Month in the region, NwSSU presented a musical entertainment on August 29, 2022 at the CHEDRO 8 HEI Fair & ASEANWave Webxhibition Festival, at Robinsons Place Tacloban, Tacloban City. The team of Pasundayag San Calbayognon: A Musical Entertainment Featuring NwSSU Singers and Rondalla was led by the Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ramil S. Catamora. Schools Division Superintendent of Catbalogan City Dr. Gaudencio C. Albije, Jr. represented CHEDRO 8 Regional Director Dr. Maximo C. Albije.

Included in the program were NwSSU Singers’ performance of Bontoc’s traditional song Tiptipan Kemake, Indonesian folk song Soleram, Pangarap Ko, and Jay-el B. Viteño’s ‘Magdiwang Magpuri’. NwSSU Rondalla performed the classic local folk

songs Rayhak, Tiadot, Alibangbang, Calbayog Ko, Calbayogeña, and Kuratsa where present NwSSU officials danced to the song making the event such a joy.
