NwSSU to Sustain Standards via Audit Workshop

To quality and beyond!

With the goal of sustaining Northwest Samar State University’s compliance with ISO standards, the Office of Internal Quality Audit (IQA) organized a three-day Quality Management System Orientation and IQA Training-Workshop held at NwSSU-Business Development Center last September 26-28 [2022]; the participants were the newly hired faculty members and identified teaching and non-teaching staff of both Main and San Jorge Campus.

The topics included were QMS, ISO 9001:2015, IQA Principles, Root Cause Analysis and CAR preparations which were discussed by the current auditors – Dr. Rodolfo F. Dollado, Jr., Ms. Ma. Lourdes Mae V. Billate, Mr. Rexor H. Magbutay, Mr. Herbert M. Fabillar, Dr. Catherine B. Rodriguez, and Ms. Florabel C. Canaman.

Other material topics and workshops regarding IQA were conducted on the second day, while on the third day, the prospective auditors have undergone actual audits in the University Library, University Registrar, Management Information System, College of Computing and Information Sciences, and Records Office to check their compliance with pertinent laws and processes found in their respective quality systems.

The training-workshop is conducted annually by the IQA office not only to improve their manpower but also to raise awareness regarding quality management system which the University pledges to uphold through the years.
