
Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) reaffirmed its commitment to student career readiness by participating in the Division School-Based Orientation on Career Guidance Program (CGP) and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) at Tarabucan National High School (TNHS) on March 3, 2025. Through its representatives, NwSSU provided valuable insights on higher education opportunities and career pathways, reinforcing its role in guiding students toward academic and professional success.
The event was formally opened with a message from TNHS Principal Mr. Carlo A. Doinog, followed by an overview of the program’s objectives, emphasizing the importance of career planning and responsible decision-making. The program featured a series of discussions led by education and industry professionals.


Mr. Cerilo Irinco, University Guidance Counselor of NwSSU, introduced students to various tertiary education courses and the university/college admission process, providing insights into available academic programs and enrollment procedures. Mr. Carl Neill M. Del Rosario conducted a session on passing the University Admission, Aptitude, and IQ Tests, sharing strategies and best practices to enhance test performance.


Ms. Rosilda D. Macapanas, College of Nursing Adviser at NWSSU, presented a comprehensive discussion on career opportunities in the nursing field, highlighting the university’s nursing program and its role in preparing future healthcare professionals. Additionally, Mr. Shian D. Morallos, Program Chair for the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science at NWSSU, promoted the Environmental Science program, emphasizing its relevance in addressing global environmental challenges and the career prospects available in the field.





By bringing this initiative to various schools, NwSSU remains dedicated to providing students with comprehensive guidance, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate their academic and career paths with confidence.
