OBJECTIVES:

  1. Enhance the research capabilities of the members of the academic community;
  2. Improve research productivity in distinctive areas of competence;
  3. Generate and provide knowledge/technologies and maintain research and development data bank of relevant information;
  4. Establish and strengthen linkages and share research resources and technologies between and among concerned agencies; and
  5. Promote and facilitate dissemination and utilization of R & D outputs.

UNIVERSITY RESEARCH PROCESS:

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

A call for papers will be announced specifying the date of submission and deliberation of research proposals for In-House Review.Research proposals submitted beyond the prescribed deadline set by the ORDS shall be considered for deliberation in the next In-House Review.

COLLEGE RESEARCH COORDINATORS FACILITATE THE SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALS

The research coordinator and the College Dean where they are stationed shall endorse the proposal for submission to the ORDS using the prescribed format.The R&D Director will convene the research panel for an In-House Review to evaluate the merit of the proposal.

IN-HOUSE REVIEW AND EVALUATION

The papers will be evaluated by a panel of evaluators following a criteria. The research projects will be prioritized based on the following criteria: (1.) It is within the priority areas listed in the University Research Agenda, Thrusts, and Priorities. (2.) The project implementers can carry out the program/project. (3.) There is urgency and importance of the research output. (4.) The project practicability of the timetable and budget not greater than P100,000.00 (for university-funded projects).The proposal shall be revised based on the panel's evaluation and comments before implementation. The following documents should be secured before the implementation of the project: Special Order Notice to Proceed Memorandum of Agreement

IMPLEMENTATION OF RESEARCH PROJECTS

The research project implementers shall conduct their research within the specified duration of the project. The implementers shall ensure proper documentation and records of their projects. 

MONITORING AND EVALUATION

The Monitoring and Evaluation shall be done before, during, and after implementation.There should be a monthly report if the approved project has 6 months of duration A quarterly report is required if the approved project duration is 12 months or more than 1 year.The project implementers should use the prescribed format for the monthly/quarterly reports, and catch-up plan.

POST PROJECT REPORT AND REVIEW

After the implementation of the project, the researchers are required to submit a Terminal Report with the College Dean's Endorsement through the College Research Coordinator.
