The NwSSU Graduate School shall foster the formation of highly competent professionals with socially – oriented leadership to enhance productivity among the people of the First District of Samar and its neighboring provinces through instructions, research, extension, and production.

The NwSSU Graduate School believes that a professional should exemplify among his fellowmen the research for intellectual excellence, and by his life encourages them to practice the virtues of social responsibility in their respective communities. thereby, providing an opportunity for a well rounded formation of a culture that is typically Filipino, consistent with the nation’s democratic and Christian heritage.

Graduate school general objectives

The NwSSU Graduate Shool aims to:

  1. Provide programs designed to produces graduates with functional knowledge of scientific facts, concepts, principles and profound skills to analyze systematized issues of significant values.
  2. Envision to graduate educational leaders equipped with technical, human and conceptual skills for decision making, problem solving and critical analysis among issues facing the educational system as it takes appropriate steps for the solution of particular institutional and agency problems.
  3. Strengthen managerial competencies, professionalize experimental knowledge and get involved in educational and development research and extension activities; and
  4. Develop morally upright individuals who can serve public with integrity.

Graduate school specific objectives

  1. to offer graduate programs for leaderships enhancement relevant to the needs of the people and society;
  2. To turn our graduates immersed with functional knowledge of the scientific facts, concepts, and principles with professionals skills, and refined values;
  3. To enhance research capabilities and managerial competencies of students for the advancement if knowledge in community – oriented development efforts; and 
  4. To integrate community service components into the academic and research programs, thereby producing morally upright individuals who can serve the public with integrity.
