Members of the Local Council for the Culture and the Arts of the Province of Samar had a meeting last February 10, 2023 at Samar Tourism Office, Catbalogan City, Samar. The attendees discussed the funded programs, plans, projects, and activities for 2023. Some of the promising plans with NwSSU as an academe partner are the opening of research, extension, and graduate programs on cultural preservation management. NwSSU was represented by the Director of the Student Affairs and Services Dr. Myra L. Pilpa, and ASCA Head Mr. Cerilo A. Irinco.
As a special token of participation in the meeting, the NwSSU delegation received a copy of a rare book anthology of Samareño songs.
