An important milestone in a first aider student’s life is the pinning ceremony, which signifies their advancement from student to professional rescuer. Symbolism, tradition, and rites of passage are some of the main factors that help explain the reasoning behind the pinning ceremony. All things considered, the justification for a pinning ceremony in QRT stems from custom, symbolism, professionalism, solidarity, and the commemoration of an important turning point in the lives of first aider students as they enter the honorable field of first aid.
The pinning ceremony emphasizes the importance of professionalism in being a First Aider. It instills a sense of pride, responsibility, and accountability as they prepare to enter the workforce and care for patients.
