The NwSSU Alumni Affairs Office aims to cultivate and maintain a strong, lifelong relationship between Northwest Samar State University and its graduates. Its primary objectives include establishing and regularly updating a comprehensive alumni database to effectively connect with former students. The office strives to foster a vibrant alumni community through organized events like reunions, homecoming activities, and networking opportunities, encouraging continued engagement with the university. Furthermore, it seeks to mobilize alumni support for the university’s various initiatives, including fundraising for scholarships, infrastructure development, and academic programs. The office also endeavors to facilitate professional development and career opportunities for alumni by sharing relevant resources and connecting them with industry partners. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Alumni Database Management
- Collecting and Maintaining Alumni Information: Actively gathering and updating comprehensive data on alumni, including their contact details, educational background, professional achievements, and current affiliations. This involves regularly verifying and enriching the database to ensure its accuracy and completeness
- Data Analysis and Segmentation: Utilizing the alumni database to identify and segment alumni based on various criteria to facilitate targeted communication and engagement strategies.
- Communication and Engagement
- Regular Communication: Keeping alumni informed about the latest developments, achievements, and activities of their alma mater through various channels such as newsletters, social media, and dedicated alumni portals.
- Organizing Events and Activities: Planning and coordinating a wide range of alumni events, including reunions, homecoming events, chapter meetings, networking mixers, and professional development workshops, to foster a sense of community and connection.
- Promoting Alumni Achievements: Highlighting the successes and contributions of alumni to inspire current students and showcase the impact of the institution.
- Personalized Outreach: Sending personalized messages for birthdays, anniversaries, and career milestones to strengthen individual relationships with alumni.
- Fostering Support and Collaboration
- Liaison between Alumni and Institution: Acting as a bridge between alumni and various departments within the university.
