The project aims to provide professional development of CWDs and CDTs based on the National Competency Standards – a self-assessment tool developed by the Early Childhood Care and Development Council in 2017 to evaluate and chart their progress, plan and implement strategies to continuously improve their practice from one level to the next through a combination of training, experience, education, and self-assessment.

The project will run until December 31, 2023 and is expected to be renewed to implement into other LGUs in the Samar Provinces.
