SMX Convention Center, Manila—Northwest Samar State University participated in the PACK PRINT PLAS PHILIPPINES 2024, the country’s premier trade show for packaging, printing, and plastic, showcasing the latest innovations and technologies in these vital industries from October 10-12, 2024.

NwSSU was represented by Engr. Rhio C. Dimakiling, Vice President for Administrative Affairs; Mr. Redem D. Tingzon, Project Development Officer III; Mr. Jake B. Calagos, Director of the Integrated Multimedia and Communications Office; along with Engr. Mariel Jane Saberon, Mr. Jay Angelo N. Gohol, Mr. Dane Jhad G. Ortiz, and Mr. Joseph Renor C. Obrino. Together, they explored opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange with industry leaders..

The university’s participation in this prestigious event aligns with its strategic goals to enhance its administrative capabilities and explore advancements in printing technologies. Moreover, it aims to gain knowledge on these trends as part of preparations to implement an increased capacity in print media production.

Throughout the event, the NwSSU delegation engaged with various exhibitors and industry experts, focusing on best practices and innovative solutions in printing and packaging. The delegates also participated in seminars on the latest trends in printing, covering topics such as “Green-Certified Materials: Elevating the Printing Industry,” “3D Printing Machine: Multi-Dimensional,” and “Digital Printing Machines: Commercial and Industrial.”
 
As the event concluded, the NwSSU team returned with valuable insights that will support the university’s ongoing development efforts and enhance its role in the region’s educational landscape.
