NwSSU Multipurpose Cooperative celebrated its 30th Founding Anniversary last February 17, 2023 at the RSU Socio-Cultural Center with the theme “Sama-sama sa Kooperatiba Tungo sa Kaunlaran ng Bawat Isa.”
The event started with a thanksgiving mass with Fr. Joseph De Guzman as Mass Celebrant.
Congratulatory messages were delivered by Vice President for Administrative Affairs Engr. Rhio C. Dimakiling on behalf of the University President, and City Cooperative Officer Cesar L. Ventures on behalf of Calbayog City Mayor Raymund C. Uy.

In his congratulatory message, Ventures also tackled the 7 Pillars of a Cooperative which are Capital Buildup, Savings Mobilization, Administrative Leadership, Financial Management and Control, Enterprise Management and Supervision, Audit and Inventory System, and Linkages and Affiliation.
Also present in the celebration was Region 8 OIC-Cooperative Development Authority Venus M. Jornales. In her keynote speech, she said that the cooperative sector embraces challenges towards progress starting from the basic level, which is dealing with different individuals up to balancing that significantly improves the 7 pillars of a cooperative.

Part of the celebration was the awarding of certificates and tokens to the Incorporators, previous and present members of the Board of Directors, Outstanding and Most Outstanding Cooperative Members.
