On March 27, 2024, Northwest Samar State University (NwSSU) hosted the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Games 2024, marking a week of camaraderie and teamwork on the campus grounds.
Organized by the NwSSU ROTC Unit in collaboration with the Department of Military Science and Tactics, the event saw enthusiastic participation from the NwSSU ROTC Cadets. The events commenced with an inspiring remark by Sgt. Ryan Emil T. Zosa, the University Director for the National Service Training Program (NSTP).
The NwSSU Oval Grounds buzzed with excitement as participants engaged in friendly competitions, such as, the FunShoot-Steel challenge, Color Wars and Airsoft Challenge where participants showcased their marksmanship skills, synchronized movements, impeccable discipline, and the importance of teamwork in dynamic environments.
The ROTC Games 2024 not only showcased the physical prowess of the participants, but also reinforced the values of leadership, excellence, and service instilled through the ROTC program.
