NwSSU recently took part in the Basic Research Methods Training (BRM), a vital initiative aimed at enhancing the research capabilities of health professionals and researchers in Eastern Visayas. Hosted by the Eastern Visayas Health Research and Development Consortium-Capacity Building Committee (EVHRDC-CBC), the two-day event was held at Hotel Alejandro, Tacloban City, October 16-17, 2024.
This well-structured training featured a blend of lecture-discussions, workshops, evaluations, and participant presentations, creating a comprehensive learning environment. Participants engaged in critical research processes, including articulating research problems, formulating objectives, and developing conceptual frameworks. The training not only aimed to sharpen participants’ research skills but also to bolster the institutional research capacity of member organizations, enabling them to produce high-quality studies that can effectively inform health policy and practice.
