RSU Socio Cultural Center- Attended by students from the College of Management, Department of Trade and Industry in coordination with Northwest Samar State University conducted Consumer Education Seminar last February 23, 2023.

Mr. Tranquilino A. Racab, Trade and Industry Development Specialist of DTI- Samar comprehensively discussed the eight consumer rights namely: right to basic needs, right to safety, right to information, right to choose, right to representation, right to redress, right to consumer education, and right to healthy environment. Also present in the activity were Ms. Noaima L. Jamilon and Mr. Jerome P. Butlig, both Negosyo Center Business Counselors. An open forum followed regarding the queries of the students on the said topic.

The aforementioned seminar is an output of the college’s research titled “Awareness of NwSSU Community on Consumer Basic Rights”. The session was hosted by student researchers from the BS in Business Administration program led by Mr. Romark Centino with their adviser, Dr. Leo Jesus Lacaba.
